Today I am going to post a series of pictures from the wild fires that raged through Southern California last November. As is normal for us on a Saturday, one of our boys had a soccer match in the neighboring city of Chino Hills. On the way home from the game, traffic was heavy and we noticed a water dropping helicopter passing in front of us. We couldn’t see much smoke, or where the helicopter was going because it is a very hilly area and the “action” was around the other side of the hill from where we were.
We finally got around to where we could see what was going on and saw that a fire had broken out (well, duh, obviously). This isn’t too uncommon so we headed home and didn’t think much about it.
As the evening wore on, we learned that the little fire we had seen, had grown to epic proportions and had burned some houses and was threatening hundreds more.
The following morning, watching the news, we saw that the fire was located in several cities and burning pretty much unchecked.
“Hey guys, let’s go see if we can find the fire”. I grabbed a couple of cameras and we headed out. I took several hundred pictures that day at three different locations: Chino Hills, Yorba Linda, Brea. There are too many to post all of them, but I’ve included some of what I thought were the better ones.
